Green Walls for the living room, blue for the bedroom
Painting your Home? These are the tips you need to know!
Sometimes you have the need to give a new perspective to your home, a new feeling, sometimes all you need to achieve this, is giving a new color to your walls. The living room is in many cases the entrance of your home, so if you want to give some more originality to this space, forget about the traditional white and dare more with stronger colors, if not the whole area at least a part of it.
We, for instance suggest you the green shades that give a fresh and informal feeling into the space. Green color represents vitality and harmony and is very adequate for the conversation area. Focus on only on one wall, maybe on the one that is infront of the entrance, the most visibile one. You can even place your sofa on that wall, you could also add some pillows that recall the green of the wall and other similar shades.
If you prefer a painting on that wall, then we advice to avoid surreal, dissonant ones, on the contrary, go for a harmonious, yet with contrast but enjoyable and playful. If the green surface is intended to accommodate the cabinet with the TV, then it is advisable not to expose too many objects and arrange the books in an orderly manner. To name a few, green RAL 6018 (RAL is an international color chart where you can identify commonly a scale of colors ) is a shade that matches well with the reddish and dark parquet.
Alternatively you might consider green RAL 6025 fern green, a shade quieter, more suitable if you want to paint all the walls of the room and ideal to be paired with lighter floors. For the furnishings, for a bright, lively and fresh result, can be achieved by choosing the white; for the essences follow the same indications given for the floors. A recommendation: never mix different wood finishes, rather insert the white lacquer for some elements and wood tone for others.
As for the bedroom, blue and it’s tones are a traditional choice (as always considered the colors that induce relaxation and tranquility, effects particularly suited to the sleeping area) here is more choosing for a tone rather than for another .
RAL 5007 brilliant blue which recalls the shades of powder blue, or ilRAL 5024 pastel blue, are suitable if the room is not very bright; has classic shades, perfect for an country and retro style environment or new classic, with white furnishings or pickled, very clear essences.

If the room is well exposed to light, you could also point for a darker color and decide how the purplish blue RAL 5000 or RAL 5010 gentian blue, both far more dark and intense, suitable for modern environments, also essential and minimal .
In this case the room will seem smaller, while lighter tones that capture and reflect light, visually make the room more spacious.

An always valuable tip: it is better to make a decision only after having checked “live” the colors (with reference numbers) in any paint factory and maybe also doing tests on a panel that suits the furniture or textile coatings to evaluate the effect of coupling. Also the colors should be tested both in the daylight, and in the evening with artificial light because they change a lot compared to those seen on the computer screen, even at times are very different.
