Inspired by Japanese culture, an American dedicated to build and market little big houses, which does not lack any of the modern comforts. Take a look and get inspired with Design Build Ideas!
Constructed by builder Chris Heininge, a former Christian missionary, this tiny home was inspired by Heininge’s time spent in small but well-designed Japanese dwellings. Heininge’s skills are drawn from his family; he and his father and his two brother all built dozens of homes in Oregon and Arizona, many of which his mother had designed.
These houses have only three meters width by six length and four and a half meters high.
The bedroom is the highest point of the house, about 210 centimeters high.
Based on a metal and plastic structure, they are lined with cedar wood.
The heating is done by an electric fireplace of 1500 W, to imitate a wood-burning fireplace and another system was installed under the floor.
The bathroom is equipped with power sockets for connecting dryer or tumble dryer.
A deposit of about 150 liters, installed under the stairs and with external access, supplies hot water.
The house is currently on sale for a pretty pricey USD $70,000, which includes all the appliances and delivery within 50 miles of Portland, Oregon.
