The spectacular interior of DRAGONFLY is a bold statement of contemporary Asian design, the predominating color palette and materials evoking a distinctly Asian ethos. The grandly proportioned space is entered via a long narrow passageway leading from the front reception area- creating an aura of unfolding mystery for the first time visitor. An enormous lighted timber partition panel separates the entrance from the interior and features an intricately carved out leaf pattern that creates the impression of fluttering leaves falling from the soaring heights of the ceiling to the floor below. Dark, rich timbers are extensively used throughout the interiors- with polished timber flooring, slatted timber ceilings, and huge lighted timber beams that bookend each end of the room.
Café Del Mar
An amazing club located in Rio de Janeiro. The color shifting walls can set the mood for any occasion on this chic beach styled club.
Tianxi Oriental Club
The design concept for this case is benefited from the regional culture and oriental ideas. Such two-way culture/region relationship determines the atmosphere of the hall space of the Apartment Building. A derivative from the oriental philosophy and culture, mixed with Modern interpretation over its regional characteristic, namely the fully embody over mountains and the sea.
Blub Lounge Club
The lighting, shapes, colors, furniture and space itself create the experience of forming part of an undersea world. The light shining onto the different elements is broken up into tiny shafts, resembling the rays of light under the sea, bathing every detail in an underwater glimmer. Blub lounge is a small sub-aquatic world. The first immersion takes place as we come through the door with its vegetable, organic imagery.
Ark has a spectacular lighting system; all across the venue, there are horizontal bars of lights with variable colors. It really feels somewhat like you are in the Tron movie.
SOUND’s design theme, realized by Orbit Design Studio (Bangkok, London and Tokyo) in association with Bed Supper Club, is the human ear in all of its super-human awesomeness, so everything in the interior is rounded, curved and tubular. While mimicking the human body, the SOUND environment with its intense audio and visual effects offers a surreal, out-of-body sci-fi experience.
Tom Dixon’s Tazmania Ballroom in Hong Kong offers a a British private-club atmosphere, but without the stuffiness. The result is an exclusive and glamorous mix of a pool hall/private club/dance club/night club. Golden pool tables are magically lifted to the ceiling making room for one of Hong Kong’s largest dance floors.
