Over the past couple of weeks, Design Build Ideas has been presenting design projects from the Covet International Awards, a design contest organised by Covet Group and Brhands Foundation that has the purpose of awarding outstanding project in the most innovative way. Today, our blog features yet another project and, this time around, it will be the interior design of a Royal Residence project in Yangon conceived by Aung Naing Linn.
This project was conceived for a young family with a luxury lifestyle who are up-to-date with the latest fashion design trends. The 229 sqm house is located in the center of the city of Yangon, Myanmar.
Let’s start off by describing the interior design of the living and dining room. Linn opted for an open space concept, a trademark that can be found mostly in modern homes. The interior decor presents above all golden details, from the coffee to the wall mirror as well as the chandelier.
Furthermore, different types of patterns can be found in the dining room area, from onyx walls covered in warm colors to an elongated ceiling pattern that provides multiple layers of texture to this division.
The master bedroom receives plenty of natural light courtesy of floor-to-ceiling windows, that also offer sweeping city views. Moreover, the frameless elevated bed appears to give extra space to the room and makes it more open. The headboard design was traditionally inspired and softens the ambience of the bedroom.
The master bathroom features two main design elements, marble and onyx. In addition, it also presents a wall and mounted storage cabinet with a neutral finish and an accent lighting that provides a playful touch to the bath.
The girls’ bedroom highlights textured fabric panels with a gold powder framer, mounted on each side of the wall. The symmetrical beds and a casual seating area make good use of the space.
