Having created her own company in 2011 after moving to Los Angeles, her success and talents grew more and more making her be seen by many as a veteran of interior and furniture design. Georgia Tapert Howe’s career and design talent specialize very much on residential interiors that successfully combine classic elegance with a modern twist. Having over 15 years of experience in the business she’s known for having a trained eye and good experience in dealing with both commercial and residential design.

She began her career by working for interior design luminaries such as David Easton, Mica Ertegun and Haynes-Roberts. In 2007 she ended up opening her own home accessories boutique, in downtown Manhattan. One year later she took a new initiative by launching Carolina George, a furniture, fabric and interior design firm based in New York. However, the main reason why she’s known today is due to the opening of her own full-service interior design firm, named after her.

Georgia Tapert Howe is definitely on a high point of her career seen as she was not only featured in Elle Décor’s Rising Stars but also due to her recent nomination on the Elle Décor A-List 2019. What makes her design style feel unique in regards to other designers is due to the fact that she’s not restrained by boundaries or rules, being driven by her progressive design philosophy based on more than one style and period clearly reflected in every one of her projects.
