Over the past couple of weeks, Design Build Ideas has been hyping up an exceptional event that seeks to elevate design and craftsmanship, the Luxury Design and Craftsmanship Summit 2018, which will occur in Oporto, from 20-21 June. The Summit will be one of the only events in the world bringing together the creative minds, designers, makers, and brands, to discuss what’s next in the Luxury Design World. This event will bring you a new perspective, and the most innovative practices of the luxury and design industries as the major players in the growth and elevation of Craftsmanship.

On the 20th and 21st of June, the Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit will provide you with a valuable life and art lesson about the amazing worlds of craftsmanship and luxury design provided by amazing guests like the Michaelangelo Foundation, Luis Buchinho, the Storytailors or Boca do Lobo.

The first edition of the Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit will be held in Gondomar, a city that’s just a few minutes away from the glorious Oporto. Needless to say, that will be plenty to see and do in the city during the Summit.

Frist of all you’ll be able to experience some of the most iconic places of the city, namely the Clerigos Tower, the Historic Downtown Area, the famous Lello Bookstore, the iconic Sao Bento Train Station, the world-class Riverside Area, the incredible Beach Areas and the unique Port Wine Cellars. You’ll also be able to admire the stunning flow of the Douro River in all it’s splendour if you go on a famous Douro River Cruise!

You’ll also be able to step inside some of the less known landmarks of Oporto, like the Virtudes Gardens, the Square of Lions or the Crystal Palace Gardens. If you enjoy the nightlife, then you can’t miss a night out at the Galerias de Paris in Downtown Oporto!

If you aren’t convinced yet that you should attend this event, then you should know that during this time Portugal experiences the amazing São João festivity, a massive party that honors the saint that protects the city. Oporto glistens during this time, there’s a lot of celebration going on and, of course, fireworks. So you cannot miss it.
