Bulgari Hotels and Resorts is set to launch a vast series of new properties in some of the most cosmopolitan and important cities in the world, including Shanghai, Moscow, Paris and Tokyo. These luxury resorts will have the timeless glamour and the heritage of magnificent Roman jeweller that the Bulgari brand is so known for. Now, Design Build Ideas will explore a bit about each one of these new resorts.
Set on a scenic riverbank and just a few minutes from the iconic Bund and Shanghai City Centre, The Bulgari Hotel Shanghai will be part of the visionary SUHE CREEK project and is set to be launched this month. The Hotel features sweeping views of the Bund and of Pudong’s dramatic skyline.
Balancing nature, contemporary design and heritage architecture, Bulgari Hotel Shanghai combines a 48-floor tower, a majestically restored Chamber of Commerce Shanghai building completed in 1916 and lush gardens which surround the whole area.
The Hotel will have 82 rooms, 19 of which are exquisite Suites, that will offer an intimate ambiance and personalized service with an extraordinary design, in the top eight floors of a 48-story tower that is also home to The Bulgari Residences. Besides that, the property will also dispose of a 2,000-square-metre Bulgari Spa and fitness centre, and a glamorous 500-square-meter Bulgari Ballroom with triple-height ceilings, that will complete the hotel’s features.
The Bulgari Hotel Moscow will be located in one of the cities most privileged location, just 300 meters from the Kremlin and Red Square. It was conceived by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel in collaboration with the prestigious Russian architectural bureau, ATRIUM. The building features an imposing facade which blends traditional elements with modern details.
The 65-room hotel is infused with modern Italian style throughout its private and public spaces. Some of the most astonishing spaces within the hotel would be the 300-square-meter Bvlgari Suite, the lavish restaurant and bar as well as the generous roof terrace. The harmonious spa and the 25-meter lap pool are something to also experience. Bvlgari Hotel Moscow will open in 2020.
The scheduled date for its inauguration will be 2020. The luxury hotel will be located on Avenue George V and it will be comprised of 76 rooms, which will be mainly suites. The hotel will also be incorporated with a spa, a 25-meter swimming pool, a restaurant and bar as well as a courtyard garden. Once again, this majestic hospitality design will be created in a collaboration between Italian architects, Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel with Parisian practice, Valode and Pistre.
“The restyling of the building has been conceived as a transition to modernity: while both the use of the typical Parisian limestone and the respect of the ‘alignment’ criteria recall the 19th century Haussmanian urban patterns, the completely renewed façade evokes a rationalistic style that is an expression of the most contemporary architectural design” – Bvlgari Hotels
The Bulgari Hotels and Resorts will also develop a property in Tokyo which is set to open at the end of 2022. The ultra-skyscraper will occupy the top seven floors and it will be located in a very central and convenient area, where guests will be able to walk to some of the best attractions of the city, including the vibrant shopping areas and the Imperial Palace, among many other superb locations.
The hotel will offer 98 guest rooms in a variety of configurations, mainly twin and double rooms, as well as luxury suites and an extraordinary Bvlgari Suite. In addition, it will also feature a bar, a ristorante, a fireplace lounge, a dramatic ballroom, an outdoor terrace, and most importantly, a 1,500 sqm BVLGARI Spa, which will offer the ultimate wellbeing experience.
The Italian architectural firm, Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel was also responsible for the design of this contemporary oasis. It showcases magnificent craftsmanship and artistic detail, creating efficient living spaces reflecting the essence of the Italian most sophisticated style.
