In this article, Design Build Ideas brings you another design project from the fierce design contest, Covet International Awards. Stephanie Kasel Interiors was responsible for the interior design of an open space loft design located in Cologny, Switzerland.
The 130 sqm open space loft was created according to the owner’s expectations. For this interior design project, functionality and a personalised atmosphere were the main concerns of Stephanie Kasel and her team. They also were to amalgamate functional materials with different colour tones.
In order to satisfy the family’s needs, Stephanie Kasel opted to remove the wall in the entrance in favour of creating a bespoke double side cabinet that offers more space and also adds a decorative touch. The studio also moulded a yellow illuminated niche so as to have a welcoming focal point in the entrance. Here, one can also find a stormtrooper statuette.
An industrial glass partition separates the living room area of the home office. A custom dressing room, a bespoke bedhead in the master bedroom and the bathroom furniture were designed to fit these particularly tiny spaces.
Furthermore, the home office installed facing the window benefits from a large panorama and plenty of natural lighting. The end result met the family’s requirements. As a whole, custom-made furniture designs and bright colours become the focal point in this open space loft.
