Peter Marino Stylishly Designs New Bvlgari Flagship Store in Sydney
The luxury and contemporary Italian brand, Bvlgari has celebrated its 20th anniversary in Australia by opening a new flagship store in Castlereagh Street, in Sydney and the creator responsible for its design was no other than the extremely skilled architect, Peter Marino. The architect took 11 months to complete the store in order to guarantee that the sophisticated and bold essence of Bvlgari was seen throughout. Now, Design Build Ideas will explore the interiors of this majestic space that is a fine example of Italian craftsmanship.

The new Castlereagh boutique makes a striking proposition for bold and beautiful Roman architectural design where innovation and tradition mesh perfectly.

One thing visitors will be able to notice is the visual expression of Ancient Rome inside the story, from the marble and stone elements to classic fixtures as well as antique architectural details and classic geometry.

The store façade in Bulgari’s iconic Black Grand Antique marble is accompanied by cream and saffron-coloured windows on either side, this was done so as a playful touch on Roman geometrics. The entrance features Bois Jourdan marble and a Condotti eight-pointed star in red porphyry, an iconic trademark of Bvlgari!

This new store will take on a journey through Bvlgari’s history where each one of the rooms has a special touch to them with different materials and textures. In addition, the boutique also plays host to a stunning walnut parquet that features a degrade effect, simulating a luminous Italian ambience flooded by natural sunlight.

A unique capsule collection was exclusively designed for the opening of the store by the creative director of Bvlgari, Lucia Silvestri. The collection is comprised of eleven pieces and combines the brand’s iconic Diva’s Dream and Serpenti collections with Sydney’s very own icons, the Sydney Opera House and Bondi Beach.
