Maison et Objet Paris is known to honor some of the best talents and most influential designers in the industry. For the September edition, set to occur from 7-11 September at Paris Nord Villepinte, the leading lifestyle and design event has chosen Belgium designer based in Paris, Ramy Fischler. Throughout this article, you’ll get to see some of the most fascinating interior design projects, furniture designs as well as design collections produced by the extremely skilled designer.
Fischler founded his own studio back in 2011. He graduated in design at ENSCILes Ateliers in Paris and then went to work with Patrick Jouin where he started to explore all the expressions of design. One thing you must know about the designer is that he does not like to repeat himself and every single design has to make sense within a certain context.
The Belgium designer enjoys questioning the value of a function, he follows various steps in his creative process to achieve the final result, including anticipating tomorrow’s behavior, defining the reason and use of each project and visualising the environment where a piece would be effective.
Cinema is one of Fischler’s biggest influences as he creates something in the same way as a director would a film. It comes as no surprise that two of the biggest pillars of his design process are fiction and collaborative work. When he’s designing a project, ranging from private residences to restaurants, he often uses his own furniture designs while also creating hybrid objects that illustrate his capacity to blur the boundaries between disciplines.
In September, Ramy Fischler will give the spotlight to the diversity of his studio’s activities and projects from day to day, offering visitors a chance to grasp his visionary and holistic approach, so don’t miss this opportunity to know more about his work.
