The Uncollected Collection: a look into the novelty by Living Divani

Living Divani decided to make its 50th anniversary feel special during Milan Design Week: during that period a maze of mirrors was installed the historical spaces of Palazzo Crivelli. In that area “The Uncollected Collection” took place, which consisted of a set of pieces made by Piero Lissoni that were unveiled for the first time ever at Via Pontaccio 12 in Milan.
Not only was this occasion perfect for the celebration of Living Divani’s 50th anniversary, but also for the 30th anniversary of Piero Lissoni’s post as Art Director of the brand. The showcase consisted of an exhibition made by spectacular reflections, an astonishing play of shadows and light that also served to highlight the pieces on display from different angles in what can be best defined as a combination of art and design.

From the portico to the main room and stretching out across the green spaces of Palazzo Crivelli’s garden, “The Uncollected Collection” by Living Divani allowed visitors to have a look from more than one angle at a couple of products that came from the mind and hands of Piero Lissoni. Among them, you could find elements such as the 01 chaise longue, the tiny 02 poltrona, and the sculptural-looking 03 tavolino, among many other numbered furniture pieces.
In there you could also find a couple of relevant collections by Living Divani, some again by Lissoni, others by other renowned designers. Among the known pieces featured in the exhibition, you could find the Family Chair by Junya Ishigami (2010), the Bubble Rock sofa (2005), the PVC Frog armchair, the rocking chair Flow by Shibuleru (2017), among other marking pieces. They also presented the Rivulet chair, by Junpei and Iori Tamaki.

All of these products resulting from the combined efforts of Piero Lissoni and many other designers for Living Divani are the perfect examples of products that privilege geometrical, curvy or essential shapes. They come off as a reflection of the variety of styles proposed in the past 30 years.
