Vila Vita Parc is known as one of the most prestigious resorts in Portugal and from 5-13 May 2019, the luxury hospitality venue will host the biennial event, Fine Wines & Food Fair. Guests can expect to have a delightful week of pure gastronomy, delectable cuisine and mouth-watering creations, paired with the finest wines! The celebration of gastronomy takes place every two years at the luxury property, located in a picturesque clifftop setting on the enchanted Algarve coast. The programme for the 2019 edition will be mainly comprised of awe-inspiring gastronomic experiences with a series of themed dinners.
This year, some of the major international guest chefs include, Thomas Allan from The Modern (NY), Christian Bau*** from Victor’s Fine Dining in Saarland (Germany), Jan Hartwig*** from Atelier in Munich (Germany), Jacob-Jan Boerma*** from De Leest in The Netherlands, Annie Féolde*** from Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, Italy
Karlheinz Hauser** from Restaurant Seven Seas in Hamburg (Germany), Dieter Koschina** from Vila Joya, in the Algarve (Portugal), Nigel Haworth* from Northcote in Lancashire (UK), among many other renowned names in the industry.
These culinary masterminds will cook alongside Hans Neuner in the resort’s two Michelin-starred Ocean and Atlantico restaurants for intimate audiences of between 30 to 80 diners. The event will start off with a traditional Portuguese barbecue occurring at Herdade dos Grous, Vila Vita’s own organic farm and vineyard. Furthermore, wine aficionados will also have opportunities to join in on extraordinary masterclass workshops with some of the most renowned winemakers in the world.
Another impressive feature of the event is the lively Kitchen Party. This true epicurean celebration will be taking place on May 11 in the Vila Vita Clubhouse and it will consist of in the creating of culinary magic for over 500 guests courtesy of the guest chefs and winemakers.
Gastronomy is at the heart of the VILA VITA Parc experience with 11 innovative dining venues to choose from ranging from casual beachside dining and rustic, regional Portuguese plates to one-of-a-kind culinary creations and even original Japanese cuisine at the two Michelin-starred restaurant. The resort values the use of only the freshest and seasonal local ingredients and actually, the majority of them are actually sourced from the resort’s farm.
