In the west, yellow is not a well-loved color, not many hold it has their favorite. Yet, yellow is the color most associated with optimism and pleasure; it is a color designed to attract attention and amusement. Looking at nature, it gets hard not to find it a beautiful color.

Our eyes are also very well adapted at looking at yellow light (hello sun!) rather than blue and violet which can be very difficult for the human optical system to process correctly. That’s why, for example, car headlights are often yellow, they don’t glare us as much.
